Nature and Devotion
Our history between faith and
An emotional journey through centuries, from the waves of Cagliari to the olive trees of Alghero.
The Origins
A sacred vow among the olive groves.
The small church was born in 1815 by the will of a Genoese navigator. He wanted to thank the Virgin for the protection received during his voyages in the Sardinian seas.
The building stands near Dimora Sella immersed in Tenute Bonaria, an ancient olive grove embracing the city. Here rural architecture blends with nature, creating a haven of absolute peace.

The Star of the Sea
This small church is not just a historical monument, but a spiritual beacon. The statue of the Madonna, unique because she holds a small vessel, symbolizes salvation in difficulties. Immersed in the rustle of olive trees recalling the sea, the church preserves the memory of a community that has found comfort, identity, and sacred silence here for centuries.
